Yahoo leaked passwords.
Here’s an article from CBC News yesterday about Yahoo’s 450,000 password and user ID’s leak. If you have a Yahoo account please read this immediately, as you may be exposed.
There’s also a website that you can go to that will help you determine if your ID or password were leaked and I’ll include that as well.
As always, please use strong passwords, with numbers and letters and special characters, and Password1 is not a good example of this. A better example would be P@ssw0rd01!
And yes, I know that’s hard to remember, so use a schema that you can recognize. And please above all, do not write this down for someone else to find, or tape it to your monitor.
If I had a nickel for every customer that had their password taped to their computer… you get the idea.
My wife has an account with Yahoo, and I just checked her email and the message is that her address wasn’t found in the leak, please check yours now.
