Your laptop won’t charge and you aren’t sure why.
Is it the motherboard? Is it the power adapter? Is it the power post?
In this particular case, it was the power post and yes, this can be fixed.
What we do is completely disassemble the laptop, remove the motherboard, de-solder off the old dc jack, solder on a new dc jack and then reassemble the laptop and test it like a mad scientist.
Although it sounds long and complicated it only takes 2 to 3 hours and you are back up and running.
We also stock more than 100 different power barrels so that your repair doesn’t take weeks and we don’t go near your hard drive, so your data will still be there.
So the next time you have trouble powering on your laptop, think of us. We do this every day.
