When you are ready to buy a new pc or laptop, one of the first thoughts you have is “What do I do with my old equipment?” Obviously you don’t want to throw it in the dumpster (at least when no one is looking), but there’s more to consider than just worrying that you’ll be collecting the old equipment in your tech closet. First and foremost, your hard drive has your data on it, so please either keep your hard drive, or destroy your hard drive, but no in-betweens. Also, check the floppy drive or cdrom drive for any discs. Don’t thow away your pictures or favorite game because you forgot to check the removable drives. Second, you probably don’t want to just drive around town looking for a recycling facility so bring it to us! We recycle all equipment, from pc’s, to televisions, to phones, printers, monitors, everything technical you can think of. And last and most important, get help lifting heavy equipment. Old CRT monitors are bulky and difficult to move, please get someone to help you move it to your car. When you bring it to our store, please pull up to the front and let us carry the load from there, your back will thank you.
