Email scam.

Today marks 5 straight days that a client has called me because they put their user name and password into an email they received from their credit card company, only it wasn’t from their credit card company, it was a phishing attempt to get their bank information. I can tell you that they look real, because they are real. The thieves do a screen scrape of a particular credit card company web page and then load it right in front of your eyes. If you go to the link however, it’s NOT taking you to Citibank, or Bank of America, or Chase, it’s taking you to their website which is saving your information for their later use. Please be VERY careful with your user names and passwords, do not save them under your keyboard, or write them on a sticky note attached to your monitor or your computer. The thieves are getting smarter and fooling a lot of intelligent people. If there’s a doubt, there IS no doubt, don’t do it! For any questions about particular emails call me at (314) 993-5528 or forward them to me and I’ll help you.

Thanks!
